Frequently Assked Questions

What are the regulations governing garden rooms in the UK?

  1. Your garden room must not be situated in front of your house.
  2. The combined area of your garden room and other buildings must not exceed 50% of the total area surrounding your house.
  3. The garden building should be single-storey and not exceed a height of 3 metres (or 4 metres with a dual-pitched roof).
  4. The maximum eaves height should be no more than 2.5 metres above ground level.

Can we use our garden building all year round in Bristol?

Absolutely, you can enjoy our garden buildings year-round. While some structures are designed for summer use due to minimal insulation, our garden buildings in the Bristol area come with ample insulation and standard oil-filled electric radiators or infared heaters. This ensures warmth even on chilly winter days. We offer options like super quilt multi foil insulation or panel insulation when constructing your garden building.

How long does it typically take to construct a garden building?

Unlike some companies that assemble pre-built units, our bespoke garden buildings are tailored to your specifications. This means the timeframe varies depending on your choices, such as fibreglass roofs, composite decking, bathrooms, and more. While we can estimate during the quoting process, most of our garden buildings are completed in less than four weeks.

How long have you been building garden buildings in  Bristol?

We've been crafting garden buildings for over five years in the Bristol area. Quality and affordability have been our priorities from the start, allowing us to offer high-quality garden buildings, complete with fibre glass roofs, quality doors, plastered interiors, quality cladding, foundations, and electrics, starting at just £22k.

Do you only build garden rooms in Bristol?

In addition to Bristol, we also construct garden offices and rooms in the surrounding area of Bristol, England.

What types of foundations do you use when building a garden building?

We  build a concrete raft which is a concrete pad that rests on the ground. We also offer a reinforced floor as part of the workshop model.

What's the starting price for one of your garden buildings?

Our garden buildings start at £22k, with the average cost falling between £25k and £35k. Larger garden rooms with features like air conditioning, multiple rooms, and spacious bathrooms can exceed £50k. We're happy to provide a free quote after meeting with you.

Can I customize my garden office?

Absolutely! You have the freedom to choose exterior cladding, windows, doors, and even opt for air conditioning. Every garden building we create is unique, tailored to your preferences.

Do you provide electrical installation services for your garden buildings?

We can recommend a qualified electrician to connect your garden room to the mains supply. This cost can be included in our quote, or you can choose to hire your own electrician and deduct it from the total.

What is the wall finish in your garden rooms?

In most cases, we install plasterboard and fully skim the room with plaster. We also offer painting and decorating services for an additional charge, with a recommendation for Farrow and Ball paint.

Can you install solar panels on the roof of our garden office in the surrounding area of Bristol?

Certainly! We offer the option to install solar panels on your garden office roof for an additional cost. During our free quote consultation in Bristol, we can assess whether your garden building's location is suitable for solar panel installation.
